Looks We Love: The Tapered Fro!

Over the past year or so, I’ve been seeing so many versions of this funky style and I gotta say… I love EVERY. SINGLE. ONE!

This long-in-the-front-short-in the back do has quickly gained popularity and I predict we’re gonna see much of this style in some gorgeous hues come Summertime. It seems to me that color really takes the tapered fro to astronomical levels of awesome! See for yourself…

The key to the success of the tapered fro, in addition to the cut itself, is defined curls and coils. To achieve just the right appeal, I’d probably set my hair in some bantu knots for a bit of a stretch and definition. Flexi or perm rods could also do the trick! You can even combine the two for a multi-textured look- bantu knots in back with flexi rods for the longer portion in front- to form your tapered fro.

While I love these cuts and styles, I’m nowhere near brave enough to do this much hair-chopping, not yet, at least! How bout you?!
