This coral maxi skirt from Target is my top summer staple! I’m just sorry I didn’t get in black when I had the chance. It nicely covers all the “problem” areas I’m working with as I deal with my post-baby body and it keeps me super cool when it’s a BLAZING 93 DEGREES! O_O
NYC summers… WHY YOU SO HOT?! *sobs*
Oh, and if my leg hair has returned with a vengeance and I don’t have time to shave LOL I can grab this and go no problem!
Even with all the heat, I wasn’t too miserable. My hair was up and out of my face and this walk along The Promenade in Brooklyn Heights provided some nice shade and a lovely, much-needed breeze. The views weren’t half bad either!
My Starbucks Iced Peach Green Tea held me down in the beginning. *right fist up* Needless to say I was less than thrilled when I got down to my last sip. Thank God for breezy maxi skirts and cool chambray shirts!
This lightweight chambray shirt is a lifesaver in the summertime when I wanna wear something neutral like denim but need to not sweat like a pig. :-/ I love the way the light blue complements the coral maxi skirt just right. The fullness of the skirt plus tying the shirt up at the waist does well to “even out” my body so I’m not accentuating the pear-shape. WIN!
I’ve wanted some gladiator or lace-up sandals for a while. These cute denim sandals from Rainbow were the real MVPs! Definitely came through in the clutch and for only fifteen bucks, are surprisingly comfortable! Peep the tassels! *squeals*
Do you stock up on maxi skirts for the summer? What are some of YOUR summertime fashion staples?
