Every winter, I’d find myself searching for the perfect pair of boots only to settle for some style that was just alright. I’m super excited to have finally found the perfect, most comfortable pair of over-the-knee boots! My vibrant orange sweater and black skinnies complemented them nicely.
No matter what type of outfit I’m wearing, I love adding a little something extra to complete my look. The thing I adore most is a dope necklace. Whatever your favorite accessory might be, Yakutti makes it easy to define your style!
Brrrr… Baby, it’s cold outside and you need a sweater or two to keep warm but don’t wanna break the bank. Take a gander at these seven options, not one over $40! Use them as layering pieces over a button-down or, if it isn’t too frigid out, wear ’em alone. 1- Remember the 2014 Pantone color of the year, radiant orchid? Well, here’s that beautiful shade of purple in the form of a crew neck cable-knit from American Eagle. ($37) 2- I kinda have a thing for grey… outside of white, it’s my favorite neutral. This Old Navy grey marl style sweater has a great shape and unique design. ($25) 3- I actually own this H&M cable-knit/ribbed combo in orange. Used it to camouflage the baby bump (before we went public), layering it on top of a basic light blue button down. The boxy shape and wide sleeves make it uber comfy! ($25) 4- Loving this cobalt blue number from Zara mainly for the rich hue but the fact that it’s only $20 down from $60, major plus! 5- When I worked in SoHo, UNIQLO was a major go-to for basics, especially sweaters. This striped option is “safe” and still has the feel of a solid due to how spaced-out the stripes are. ($39.90) 6- V-necks are my fave. UNIQLO‘s Extra Fine Merino Wool sweaters come in a ton of colors to suit any preference. Catch the sale price of $19.90 before they’re all gone! 7- If you wanna stay on-trend with the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala, here’s a cute and cozy cardigan from OASAP. I’d throw it on over a white tee, some dark rinsed skinnies and tan riding boots. ($38.90) Your turn! Are any of these on your wish list? Tell me about your favorite winter sweater and where you found it! xoxo Toia B. Fashion…
Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great week. Since I gave you all a full-on fashion post yesterday, this one will be rather short and sweet… kinda. Here’s what I threw together yesterday to head to the Required Flare NYFW Trunk Show. Over the past year, I found myself in somewhat of a fashion rut, rotating the same few pieces since a lot of my clothes are not easily accessible. I’ve recently been forcing myself to just take some extra prep time to find my stuff! Among other things, out came a bunch of sweaters I had long forgotten about like this beautiful berry number I scored at Express some years ago. I was also reunited with this old but still lovely box pleat skirt from Banana Republic which I also have in brown. I was certain the skirt no longer fit but, thankfully, I was proven wrong. It was like I just went shopping! The leather boots (which I grabbed at $50 on sale from $129!) and light pink striped button-down were both purchased recently from my favoritest store ever, H&M. I finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace… and my fro! 😉 GET THE LOOK! Uniqlo cotton v neck cardigan / H M button shirt / H M black pleated skirt / Aldo boots / H M vegan purse / ALDO necklace / Knot earrings I’ll be sharing more from my brief visit to the trunk show soon but in the meantime, enjoy a sneak peek here and here. Do you ever find yourself in a fashion rut? What pieces of clothing have you recently discovered that you had forgotten about? Share below! xoxo Toia B.
