Wow. I haven’t done a product review in a minute and this one is SUPER late for a ton of reasons which I’ll spare you for now, so… let’s get to it! Many moons ago, I posted on Instagram that I tried a certain Rhassoul & Bentonite shampoo bar. I was soon after contacted by the creator of Naturalicious, Gwen, who saw this post and thought I might like to try her Rhassoul Clay product- Moroccan Rhassoul 5-in-1 Clay Treatment– seeing as how I had a decent experience with the shampoo bar from this other brand. Although I expressed that I may not get to review her product right away, Gwen was totally cool with that and was happy to send along the product anyway. She asked if I considered my hair to be kinky/coily or curly/wavy. Here’s what I got… Product Claim (from the creator herself): “it’s the only ready-to-use liquid Rhassoul Clay cleanser available (meaning, you don’t have to mix it up or do anything special to it; it’s ready to use right out of the bottle). It’s designed to allow you to wash, condition, deep condition, leave in condition and detangle all at once (hence the name “5-in-1″)”. I’m all for shaving down my wash time any way I can, so a product that claims to do all the steps… I’m intrigued! INGREDIENTS: Moroccan Lava (Rhassoul) Clay, Deionized Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Vegetable Glycerin, Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Olea europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Vitis Vinfera (Grape) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Phenoxyethanol Initial Reactions Even though I wasn’t going to be using it just yet, the first thing I did when I received the product was sniff it. I did not like the smell, at first! Howwwwever, when I went to actually use the product, I took…

Happy Monday beauties! Maaaann… I remember discovering BlackOnyx77 about a year into rockin’ my natural after a good friend told me what an awesome resource YouTube was for inspiration. From humble beginnings of hair tutorials in her bathroom, fast forward about five years and we find vlogger-turned-entrepreneur Rochelle Graham heading up her own hair and skin care line! Meet the third title sponsor of The Healthy Hair & Beauty Affair II, Alikay Naturals… Creator Rochelle Graham returned to natural in 2007 and by 2009, she had turned her kitchen into her first “laboratory”. Her goal: to find out what natural ingredients promoted hair growth. Although working full time and attending school, any free time she had was spent in the kitchen mixing, testing & getting her formulations perfect. This led to the creation of the now famous “Essential 17 Hair Growth Oil”. Rochelle’s hair started growing so quickly and in no time she was at 4 inches of new growth. Many YouTube subscribers started requesting the sale of the oil. That product was the first of many to come in what would be known as Alikay Naturals Products, derived from Rochelle’s middle name, Alikay. Still having to work and go to school full time, Rochelle along with her husband Demond would mix and package products late at night, waking up early in the morning or between classes to drop off customer packages at the Post Office. The line, which now consists of more than sixty products focusing on natural hair and skin care as well as bath and body, has become one of the top selling natural product lines in the country, having been featured in magazines and newspapers worldwide. Alikay Naturals line is now also on shelves of beauty supply stores and salons from North America to the Virgin Islands including select…
