NYC winters can get weird. If the same is true where you live and you’re not quite sure what to wear from day-to-day, here’s a little inspiration and a few tips for dressing during fickle and transitional weather!

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great week. Since I gave you all a full-on fashion post yesterday, this one will be rather short and sweet… kinda. Here’s what I threw together yesterday to head to the Required Flare NYFW Trunk Show. Over the past year, I found myself in somewhat of a fashion rut, rotating the same few pieces since a lot of my clothes are not easily accessible. I’ve recently been forcing myself to just take some extra prep time to find my stuff! Among other things, out came a bunch of sweaters I had long forgotten about like this beautiful berry number I scored at Express some years ago. I was also reunited with this old but still lovely box pleat skirt from Banana Republic which I also have in brown. I was certain the skirt no longer fit but, thankfully, I was proven wrong. It was like I just went shopping! The leather boots (which I grabbed at $50 on sale from $129!) and light pink striped button-down were both purchased recently from my favoritest store ever, H&M. I finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace… and my fro! 😉 GET THE LOOK! Uniqlo cotton v neck cardigan / H M button shirt / H M black pleated skirt / Aldo boots / H M vegan purse / ALDO necklace / Knot earrings I’ll be sharing more from my brief visit to the trunk show soon but in the meantime, enjoy a sneak peek here and here. Do you ever find yourself in a fashion rut? What pieces of clothing have you recently discovered that you had forgotten about? Share below! xoxo Toia B.
