Essential oils have been used for many years for their healing benefits and are often used in aromatherapy for their relaxing properties. Using essential oils for hair health can also be very beneficial. Here are four of my favorites.
You’ve probably heard about how great essential oils are to use in your hair care regimen but, do you know how to use them? Here are a few tips.
I gotta admit… this post is just as much for me as it is for you beautiful people! The past two months have been super busy and sad to say, my hair has suffered the dire consequences. Not having enough time to really carry out my routine to the letter has my hair going through some things- dryness and lack of strength being among them. I always seem to recover, somewhat, so that it looks halfway decent with the use of leave-ins, creams and oils. However, I know deep down in my soul that a good hot oil treatment is definitely in order. But why do it in the first place? I love these little “Postcard Tips” from BlackHairInformation.com- all you need to know right there, straight to the point! Courtesy Of BlackHairInformation.com I’m a huge fan of Sweet Almond Oil and Grapseed Oil, got a large bottle of each on my dresser! Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Jamaican Black Castor Oil have also become staples for me in this area. As for essential oils, they are the bestest! I keep Tea Tree, Peppermint and Lavender Essentials handy for all my hair-care needs from steaming (great aromatherapy as it penetrates the hair and scalp!) to spray bottle concoction-making and of course, hot oil treatments… my favorite combo being Tea Tree and Peppermint. Seeing this postcard has reminded me that I need to get my life and get my hair back to where it once was! Challenge accepted. Let’s chat: Do you do regular hot oil treatments? If so, what oils are your faves? How often do you do them? Tell us below! TTYL! xoxo ~Toia
