While many of us can’t help but stay bright and colorful all-year-round, fall still brings the urge to dip into those deep hues that match the season. Lurking in one of my months-old swag bags was the perfect fall lip color to beautifully complement the latest addition to my African print headwrap collection!
When I received this beautiful headwrap from Shevy Sews, I couldn’t wait for an opportunity to rock it! A delayed wash day made for the perfect excuse to don my new accessory.
Heading out to a Paint & Sip at a friend’s home to hang with some girlfriends, I was too short on time to complete what I had planned for my hair. What better way to cover up your no-time-to-style mane than with a gorgeously printed headwrap?!
As a mom of an active 18 month-old, along with all my other daily duties, headwraps come through in the clutch when I gotta run out to the supermarket real quick or run a few random errands. Super quick fix and pretty cute at the same time, if I do say so myself. 😉
As for the lips, what are the chances I’d find this Milani Black Cherry Lip Gloss swimming around the bottom of my Texture on the Runway swag bag just as I was getting ready?! Although I’m not one to normally wear anything but a nude-ish lip color, this was the first time in a while that I’d be stepping out sans baby so I said hey, let’s live a little! After all, dark reds and browns are the “it” colors for fall lips, lemme go ‘head and step out of my comfort zone.
…and I was kinda feelin’ myself.
Not only is it the perfect fall lip color but it was the perfect pairing for this gorgeous African print!
