Baby, it’s cold outside and you need a sweater or two to keep warm but don’t wanna break the bank. Take a gander at these seven options, not one over $40! Use them as layering pieces over a button-down or, if it isn’t too frigid out, wear ’em alone.
1- Remember the 2014 Pantone color of the year, radiant orchid? Well, here’s that beautiful shade of purple in the form of a crew neck cable-knit from American Eagle. ($37)
2- I kinda have a thing for grey… outside of white, it’s my favorite neutral. This Old Navy grey marl style sweater has a great shape and unique design. ($25)
3- I actually own this H&M cable-knit/ribbed combo in orange. Used it to camouflage the baby bump (before we went public), layering it on top of a basic light blue button down. The boxy shape and wide sleeves make it uber comfy! ($25)
4- Loving this cobalt blue number from Zara mainly for the rich hue but the fact that it’s only $20 down from $60, major plus!
5- When I worked in SoHo, UNIQLO was a major go-to for basics, especially sweaters. This striped option is “safe” and still has the feel of a solid due to how spaced-out the stripes are. ($39.90)
6- V-necks are my fave. UNIQLO‘s Extra Fine Merino Wool sweaters come in a ton of colors to suit any preference. Catch the sale price of $19.90 before they’re all gone!
7- If you wanna stay on-trend with the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala, here’s a cute and cozy cardigan from OASAP. I’d throw it on over a white tee, some dark rinsed skinnies and tan riding boots. ($38.90)
Your turn! Are any of these on your wish list? Tell me about your favorite winter sweater and where you found it!
