HAPPY FRIDAY FASHIONISTAS!
My girl Cadian, The Lone Natural, has done it again! She has fabulously reworked and revamped an awesome vintage find and wanted to share it with YOU lovely folks! So without further ado…
Hey Lovelies! One of my favorite things to do, besides finding amazing vintage frocks, is finding modern key pieces to help set new trends. Many wonder, how you can make an 80’s dress look like something other than a bad episode of Dynasty. It’s simple because trends tend to repeat themselves. And although there are many steps to modernizing a vintage find, these are my 3 favorites. But first, let’s talk about the Focal point of this fashion find.
I found this artsy, shabby chic dress on etsy.com for a whopping $25 (purchase here). Not just a typical dress you find at your local chain store, this dress is a definite “On Trend” piece of fashion art!
Blues are a BIG “POW” color for this Spring season, so we played on its amazing color and utilized our 3 steps for modernizing this fabulous dress. We (1) Cinched in the waist to add shape with a neutral colored belt. (2) We added a pop of color with this great pointed-toe flat and this subtle pair of green earrings. And (3) we completed the look with this essential black and tan bag we found at Zara.
So Fashion Mavens, if you have vintage pieces in your closet, but don’t know how to bring them on trend, try these three steps and step into Spring!
Huge shoutout to The Lone Natural for this contribution! Make sure you check out her other fab “Finds” on thelonenatural.wordpress.com… there’s a new one up every Friday! Keep it social with The Lone Natural on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
