I’m telling you, if hair care manufacturers didn’t exist, we’d still have everything we need to take care of our hair naturally right here on God’s green earth. Honey is one of those things! When applied to the hair, it acts as a natural conditioner and moisturizer making it soft and manageable. This may especially be of interest to those of us with kinkier textures where our hair tends to be rather dry, dull-looking and sometimes hard if left on its own. Did you know that honey is a natural humectant? This means that it’s great as a conditioner and moisturizer because of its ability to attract and retain water molecules. It’s also a natural emollient. With these properties, honey leaves hair looking shinier and feeling softer, plus, it’s full of enriching vitamins and minerals. Here’s an easy honey rinse you can use to restore shine and body to your hair. *1 tsp of honey *4 cups of warm water Warm the honey a bit so it’ll be easier to pour & mix into the water. Mix well. As the final step in your normal wash routine, pour the rinse onto your hair (or apply with a spray bottle) and do not rinse out. Dry & style as usual.
