Happy Friday everyone! I’ve missed coming here to chat with you all but as you can tell from the title, I have a very good reason for being MIA. š
I wish I would have blogged more about my pregnancy but I’m excited to share that I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Micah R. Barry, on Saturday May 9th at 7:56 pm! He weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs 10 oz measuring 19.5″ long… all legs! LOL!
From the time I found out I was pregnant… actually, even way before that when thinking “if I ever got pregnant”, I resolved that I would give birth naturally, no epidural, no nothing. Thankfully, with my husband by my side and lots of prayer, that’s what happened! That’s not to say that there weren’t some bumps here and there (a story for another time) but, in the end, it all worked out the way we wanted.
Without further ado, here’s a look at some moments in the days following…
My hubby the artist couldn’t resist doing this quick sketch of baby Micah during our stay at the hospital. You might recall the pregnancy illustration he sketched when I was about midway. This is just too precious!
Needless to say, we are in love and look forward to seeing how his little face changes (which has already begun!) in the weeks, months and years ahead. This newborn stage is rough but we know it won’t last long and it’ll get better. We make a great team and are doing our best to hang in there.
That’s all for now! I hope to be back to share my birth story soon as well as the usual hair stuff but for now, you can catch me on Instagram and Facebook as I’m slowly but surely getting back into my groove. Of course, my priority is baby boy. š

Awww my fave ones are of him and his dad, the ones with the yellow hat (I love those cheeks) and the heart-melting one with his eyes open. So sweet. Thank you for having a cute baby so I don’t have to admire his pacifier or something. Lol! Congrats again to you and yours!
